Reviews of Fallenwood
February 16, 2012- Fallenwood Review on Coffee Time Romance
“I am hoping there are many more adventures to come for Ash, Edward, and Will in Fallenwood, and I am sure every one will be well worth the read.”

- Nayuleska Reviews Fallenwood
“I loved Ash and what happened to her. Her companions had distinctive characteristics. I particularly liked Morganessa, because she was fun to read about and Greymalkin, who as a sentient cats caught my interest. Several of the plot revelations had me pleasantly surprised, and wondering what would happen next, which is always a good thing in a novel.”

- Fallenwood Review from Tracy Falbe of Her Ladyship’s Quest
“The fantasy world of Fallenwood is packed with marvelous places and creatures, reminiscent of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Fallenwood is a heartfelt psychological wonderland inspired by those difficult years when a young adult must pick a path and travel it with purpose.”

Review from the Book Girl of Mur-Y-Castell
“Do you ever have that feeling like you don’t belong? You go through the routines, but nothing really makes sense. You question why it is you do what you do, but you don’t know why you do it. You just go on and on and on until one day you’ve had enough. That one day you just know something has to change and something has to be done because enough is enough! It’s a bit like that for Ashley Kensington.”
~ Lis, Book Girl of Mur-Y-Castell
The One Hundred Romances Project
“The true story is a person who is floundering, finally finding her path and discovering the strength she possesses. There is nothing more satisfying to me than reading a story about characters with flaws who overcome… themselves. It rings true to me. Even in a world of dragons and magic. And this world is very well-crafted, very well thought-out. This is a fantasy story that kept me interested until the end, which, when dealing with a woman who can be distracted by a ball of tin foil, says a lot.”
~Joey of The One Hundred Romances Project

YA Bound
“Ash’s transformation from the weak, distraught teen, to the fierce, powerful ruler she becomes, was refreshing. Her character is a wonderful role model for young adults. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves High Fantasy, Romance, and characters that grab you, along with a world where you can get lost in. Awesome addition to the YA Market!”
- The Romance Reviews
“Leslie Soule has created a clear theme in Fallenwood, delivered by fantastical creatures. Who can resist that?”
- The Fantasy Book Review
“The girl [Ash] has a huge array of support characters, with the main characters and villains being rather well fleshed out characters. Particularly endearing is Ash’s guide through Fallenwood, Will.”
Ash’s life is one long boring, terrible feeling. She despises her mother for not showing loyalty to her stepfather after he dies, and she is absolutely livid that she’s part of a family that has no class and, seemingly, no heart. When she goes to the “ash-scattering” ceremony, she gets so mad at her family that she simply takes off through the woods, wishing she could escape the life she has to live.
Fate is on her side as she crosses into a fantasy world. She is met by a monk named Will. Ash is the “new” visitor to the realm and Will knows she has been brought into their lives to do something great. He brings Ash to Lady Destiny, the representative of the Eternal, in order to hear her fate. A dragon head comes to life and sets Ash on a path where she must find a missing prince and stand against an evil queen in order to save the land and unite the warring kingdoms. Add in a court jester, a large cat, a wolf kept alive by a mysterious crystal and a romance written in legend, and readers have a fantasy of epic proportions. (DECADENTPUBLISHING.COM, dl $4.99)

“While only one minute long, this trailer was direct and to the point. No over the top graphics or music, just the basics that portryed well what the book is about and left me wanting just enough that I am on my way to check out the publisher’s website.
